Large platforms on Drupal.
For a financial services provider we developed and ran two large Drupal platforms: a community for its employees with social wall, idea management, chat, events and a points system, and a public online magazine with newsletter. Both ran on custom modules with automated delivery.

The community: stay informed, take part, get rewarded.
News, questions and ideas came together on the social wall. Anyone who took part collected points. Corporate communication turned into a conversation.
What the community could do.
- Sign in Employees signed in via single sign-on, the platform took over the login from the existing system.
- Stay informed Employee magazine, a social wall with filters and a section where questions to the company were answered openly.
- Take part Submit ideas, rate them and vote, join surveys, comment on posts.
- Connect Chat, private messages and a people search across the whole company.
- Experience View events and book them right in the platform.

The online magazine.
The second platform was the client’s public online magazine, with newsletter, subscription form, scheduled posts and search engine optimisation. When the content moved into the client’s main website, we exported the articles for the migration.
Two platforms, six areas.
Maintained by internal communications and the editorial team, without developers for day-to-day work.

What made the difference.
Participation was rewarded
A custom points system made visible who joined in and motivated people to take part.
One login for everyone
Sign-in to the community ran via single sign-on through the client’s existing system.
The editors worked on their own
Posts, campaign pages, surveys and magazine articles were maintained by the client’s teams without developers.
A clean handover
When the magazine moved into the main website, we exported the articles as XML for the migration.
